Tango Dance Workshop 2pm-4pm Closing Party 5pm-7pm - Big World Festival

Big World Festival is a new, world music festival in Folkestone, running 1–4 October 2026.

Learn how to move those hips with a Tango dance workshop lead by Alfredo Martin Espindola, followed by a performance by the Tango Terra Quartet where you can put those new moves into practice. These events can be enjoyed by the whole family!

On Sunday 4th October, the programme is:

2:00pm-4:00pm: Tango Dance Workshop

The afternoon will be a fun workshop suited to everyone's needs and level, focussing on giving you elements to move with confidence, an understanding of basic principles applied to dance Tango, while integrating various schools of movement alongside a friendly take to maximise results.

4:00pm-5:00pm: A break and food/drink.

5:00pm-7:00pm: The Tango Terra Quartet

The Tango Terra Quartet is a highly acclaimed, London-based Argentine Tango live music ensemble. From Golden-era composers to Astor Piazzola and beyond, they bring fresh elements to the already dramatic journey of tango signature sounds. Dancer and multi-instrumentalist, Alfredo Martin Espindola, has been nurturing these fields from a very early age and has studied both classic and new style tango intensively for the past 25 years.
