The Half Butt Inn is a countryside local with character — a proper Essex pub that's all about real ale, good food, and now, brilliant comedy. Tucked on Nayland Road with easy parking and a leafy garden, it's the perfect setting for an intimate comedy night away from the usual city venues. We've cordoned off the restaurant area as our comedy space: 30–40 seats, close-up comedy distance, the kind of room where every laugh lands and every punchline connects. No standing at the back, no mobile phones cutting through the moment. Just comedians, an audience, and good comedy.
