Bow & Reed dive into jazz with a modern, rebellious take. Expect jazz standards with spice, intimate takes on Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder, and original fusion titles written by Bow & Reed.

Violin, Saxophone, Vocals, and only two musicians. Bow & Reed lay bare some of their most intimate music and  will explore where the night takes them through improvisation. Keeping the music moving, the night  unpredictable and the sound alive.

Blending jazz with soul, R&B, folk, indie and blues, Defiant Jazz takes the sounds you know and creates something new.

Bow & Reed are a jazz-fusion violin and saxophone duo based in London and the South Coast. The duo have a focus on writing unique arrangements of popular jazz, folk, blues and RnB songs, and combining their sound to create original music which enthrals the listener. Featuring stylistic violin passages over the top of husky saxophone tones, to amazing improvisation between the two instruments, and additional bluesy vocals from soulful voices.
